Fall Colors on the Blue Ridge Parkway

In my part of Texas, fall colors are almost nonexistent. I’ve wanted to take a trip to see fall foliage for a long time, and last week I finally did!  We spent a few days in Asheville, North Carolina, staying at a super cute B&B called Applewood Manor. We visited a state park, drove the Blue Ridge Parkway, explored downtown Asheville, and of course we had to see the famous Biltmore Estate while we were there.

I took approximately a bajillion photos so I’ll split them up into a few posts. First, here are some pics of the beautiful fall colors and sights we saw driving the Blue Ridge Parkway and visiting the nearby Chimney Rock State Park.

We had to stop at the “Sugar Shack” for a cinnamon funnel cake after seeing it along the road.

This old truck was parked behind the shack.

And we saw this awesome sign by a roadside shop:

We stopped by Chimney Rock State Park for beautiful views and hiking trails.
