Asheville B&B

I’ve only stayed at bed and breakfasts a handful of times, but so far they’ve all been exceptional. I love the cozy, friendly feel and chance to get to know the owners and fellow guests. And while you usually miss out on the big hotel amenities like swimming pools and tennis courts, there are smaller perks like free soda and coffee, social hours, and DVDs and books to borrow during your stay.  In Asheville, we stayed at Applewood Manor, a six-bedroom B&B a short drive from downtown. It’s a pretty, traditionally styled little inn filled with antiques and fireplaces–and after eating the delicious three course breakfast each morning we didn’t have an appetite until dinner!
